Inkanyiso Crèche reopens
The 7th of September was a day filled with excitement at Inkanyiso Crèche as the crèche opened its doors to students for the first time since the national lockdown was instituted in March. Both teacher Lungi and the little learners were overjoyed to be together again after almost 6 months.
Thanda Foundation and Star for Life held a fun and informative morning presented by Star for Life’s Profesional Nurse Sli Mncube and the very entertaining maskot Jabulani. The children were enthralled by Jabuli whilst learning important lessons on safety measures, hand washing, sanitizing and social distancing
In preparation for the return of the children, tables and chairs were reorganized in line with 1.5m social distancing requirements and high-quality cleaning suppliers were donated by Friends of Inkanyiso Crèche. Thanda Foundation supplied foot operated sanitizing stations and provided each child with an adjustable face shield.
In order to ensure the safety of the children only 13 final year learners returned to the crèche. The young learners along with Teacher Lungi will be working hard to ensure that they meet the readiness requirements to attend pre-primary school next year.
