The Youth Employment Services (YES) is an initiative designed in collaboration with government and labour to create employment hub for the youth of South Africa. Stars at Work has embarked on a project to roll-out workshops to benefit young people from sixty-six (66) high schools located in the KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng Provinces. The workshops are facilitated by designated coaches with 40 tablet devices that are provided with internet connection to be used during the workshop sessions.
Stars at Work Johannesburg South held the first of these workshops with coach Anovuyo Nqeniso to assist the learners of Eketsang Secondary School with registration of their profiles on the YES Database, as the first session of the workshop. The next session required the learners to play a knack game that is designed to assess the talents and skills of the learners, where the outcome of the game is added on the profile of the learner to better their chances of being considered by employers for job opportunities.
